Student\nteams analyze a real-life–inspired case and then present the ir\ncomprehensive analysis and solutions to a panel of judges. The top six \nteams earn a prize of a gift card. The students and local area\nbusiness leaders\, who volunteer as team coaches and judges\, build\nnetwork conne ctions\, friendships and mentoring relationships that\nextend beyond the e vent.\n\nKICKOFF EVENT\n\nThere is a live MANDATORY kickoff for participan ts to meet their\nteammates and get the case materials on Monday\, Feb. 10 \, from 5–6:30\np.m. EST. Participants will have a chance to meet their coaches here\nand receive some tips. There will also be a zoom link availa ble for\nthose that cannot make it to campus. A link to a recording of the \nevent will be made available to all teams.\n\nDAY OF THE COMPETITION\n\n Check in will take place from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. EST. The program\nwill b egin at 8:30 a.m. with a guest speaker who will provide\ninspiration for t he case solution.\n\nLight breakfast and boxed lunch will be provided to a ll participants\nand volunteers.\n\nEach team will have three and a half h ours (9 a.m.–12:30 p.m. EST)\nto review the case and critical informatio n provided\, formulate their\nresponse to the case questions and develop a PowerPoint-based\npresentation. Each team must submit an electronic copy of their\npresentation by 12:30 p.m. EST. No changes may be made to teams ’\nPowerPoint presentations after the 12:30 p.m. EST submission deadline .\n\nTeams will be randomly assigned a 15-minute slot with one of our pane l\nof judges to present their results. Teams have a strict 10 minutes to\n present\, followed by 5 minutes of questions from the judges. Team\npresen tations will be in 20-minute intervals to allow transitions\nbetween 1 p.m . and 3:40 p.m. EST. The top six teams will be announced\nat the conclusio n of the first round of judging. Immediately following\nthis\, we will rel ease the rest of the group and the top six teams will\nrespond to question s from another set of judges in the final\nfive-minute round of judging.
