To ensure the best experience possible, please open the Hyperion vApp using the Horizon client launch method.
If this is your first experience opening a vApp using the Horizon client launch method, you MUST follow the directions below carefully to properly install and configure the Horizon client. If not, please skip ahead to Launching the Hyperion vApp.
Setting the Hyperion vApp Open Method
- Browse to the LeBow vLab.
- Select the menu bearing your name in the top right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Select Preferences from the left menu.
- Select Horizon Client.
- Select Save.
Installing the Horizon Client
- Browse to http://www.vmware.com/go/viewclients.
- Select GO TO DOWNLOADS to the right of the appropriate operating system.
- Select DOWNLOAD NOW.
- Browse to the downloaded installer and launch it.
- Follow all on-screen instructions.
NOTE: The first time the Horizon client is launched after installation, it will prompt you to provide access to your local hard disk. You MUST grant this access. If you miss the prompt, you can find directions for granting access after-the-fact in the Allowing the Horizon Client Access to Local Files KB article.
Launching the Hyperion vApp
- Browse to the LeBow vLab.
- Sign in using your Drexel credentials.
- Select Open under Hyperion.
- Enter your Drexel credentials again when prompted.
NOTE: The first time you run the Hyperion vApp, you may be presented with a blank page. If this occurs, simply close the application and open it again.
Saving Reports
- From the Save dialogue box, browse to the Z: drive.
- With the Z: drive, browse to the location you wish to save the files and select Save.
- It is recommended that your save items within your OneDrive - Drexel University folder.
