NBC Sports Philadelphia
Brian Monihan was named President of NBC Sports Philadelphia in July 2012 and oversees the day-to-day operations of the network. Part of the NBC Sports Regional Networks, NBC Sports Philadelphia serves nearly three million viewers in the Philadelphia area, Southern New Jersey and Delaware.
Monihan has helped NBC Sports Philadelphia launch pregame programs for the Eagles, Flyers, Phillies and Sixers, in addition to spearheading partnerships with NBC10, the NBC-owned station in the market.
Monihan previously served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at CSN Philadelphia. Prior to working for NBC Sports Regional Network, Monihan was a Vice President of Advertising Sales for Comcast-Spectacor, sales manager at WPHL-TV, and held various sales and research positions. He is also a former Tribune “Employee of the Year” as well as an appointee to the Tribune Leadership Development Program.
Monihan graduated with dual degrees in communications and history from Boston College and has also completed graduate coursework at the University of Michigan business school. He lives in Moorestown, N.J., with his wife and four children.
