Mr. Melly joined AIG’s government affairs team in 2018 following several years with the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR). As Deputy Assistant USTR for Services, Mr. Melly directed services trade policy and represented the United States at the World Trade Organization. Mr. Melly also negotiated the services components of U.S. free trade agreements and led the U.S. delegation in the Trade in Services Agreement negotiations.
Prior to joining USTR, Mr. Melly directed project teams analyzing services trade and investment at the U.S. International Trade Commission. Mr. Melly has also worked as a consultant for the World Bank and conducted health care industry research with the Advisory Board Company. Mr. Melly received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University.
