Dr. Veronica Carey has taught in academia for the past 22 years. She is currently the Assistant Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Chair of the Board of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions. She is an Associate Clinical Professor within the Human Development and Counseling Department and author of an Amazon bestseller Frame Your Degree: How to Avoid Pain while Seeking a College Degree. Carey addresses social determinants of health, health disparities, organizational infrastructure for racism minimization, and seminars illustrating advocacy for marginalized student populations. Dr. Carey presented a 2023 TEDx: * Pain, Pain Go Away* to bring attention to the endurance factors students will allow in the name of obtaining a college degree. A personal factoid is Veronica enjoys interior design and is co-partners with her sister in a real estate LLC flipping houses.
