Accounting Department to Hold CPE Seminar

Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business will present an Accounting CPE seminar on "Current Issues in Tax and Accounting" on Drexel’s campus during the afternoon of November 17, 2011, for accounting professionals, alumni and friends of the Accounting Department.

The 3-hour CPE seminar will offer up to three Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits in the field of accounting and taxes, including 1.5 hours on “The Winds of Change: Developments on the Role of the Auditor,” and 1.5 hours on “Hot Topics in Taxation: A Panel Discussion.” Cindy Fornelli, executive director for the Center for Audit Quality, will be the featured seminar speaker. The seminar will also feature a panel discussion. A reconnection reception will follow the seminar. During this event, attendees may also register for a quick tour of our campus given by Beta Alpha Psi students.

The cost for the CPE seminar is $40 (or $20 for LeBow College alumni) and includes materials, parking and the reception. It has been an eventful year for the Department of Accounting & Taxation. Our faculty and students continue to make significant contributions to LeBow College of Business. We are able to attract high quality students to both undergraduate and graduate accounting programs, supporting them with high-energy, tenure track faculty, motivated clinical and adjunct faculty, and our excellent committed departmental manager. Everyone is committed to improvements in accounting education for our students.
