Update to the Latest SAS License File

BY AL RIESS

December 02, 2020

As the calendar year draws to a close, so does our annual license for SAS resulting in users being prompted to update their license file whenever they launch the software. Typically, LeBow Tech would automatically distribute the new license file to all LeBow computers to ensure SAS’s continued operation. This year, while we have set up the automated distribution system as usual, everyone working from home under COVID-19 conditions may cause delays in receiving the new license. As such, we have created a standalone installation in Software Center to allow you to install the new license file at will.

To upgrade your SAS license to the newest file, follow the directions below:

  1. Connect to the Drexel VPN.
  2. Launch Software Center.
    • You can use Cortana Search next to the Windows Start menu to find it or browse to it at Windows Start menu -> Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
  3. Select Applications from the menu on the left.
  4. Select LCB - SAS License.
  5. Select Install.

If you have any difficulty updating to the new SAS license file, please contact the LeBow Tech help desk at lcbtech@drexel.edu.
