Remark Office OMR is the software used to process and grade Scantron style (“fill in the bubble”) multiple-choice exams given at LeBow. Remark can be accessed by all LeBow faculty, staff and PhDs through the LeBow vLab.
Carefully follow the steps below, expanding each section as needed, to begin processing your exams.
IMPORTANT: Read before proceeding

Processing Exams Using Remark OMR
- Step 1: Print blank answer sheets
Using Remark to grade exams begins by correctly printing the blank answer sheets your students will use. Many errors occur within Remark when the blank answer sheets are not printed correctly, so please follow the steps below carefully.
- Use this link to open a copy of the 75 Question Blank Answer Sheet..
- Save the 75 Question Blank Answer Sheet to your computer using the save or download option in your browser.
- Open the downloaded file in Adobe Acrobat.
- If the file does not open in Adobe Acrobat, contact LeBow Tech for assistance.
- From the Acrobat File menu, select Print.
- Set the number of copies needed being sure to add enough to complete as your answer keys.
- Under Page Sizing & Handling, make sure the Fit option is selected.
- Select the Print button.
- Proceed to the copier of your choice and release the print job.
- Step 2: Create your answer keys
Using the printed, blank answer sheets, fill in the correct bubble at the corresponding numbered row for each question on your exam using a new blank sheet for each version of the exam.
TIPS:
- Fill in the Last Name field with the word ANSWER. This will allow you to easily identify your answer key.
- Fill in the FI field with the letter corresponding to the version of the test it matches.
- The other fields (MI, University ID, Subject & Course Number, Section #, or Test Version) do not need to be filled out for the answer key.
- Any writing implement will work, not just No. 2 pencils. However, the darker the color of the bubble, the better.
- Step 3: Give your exam and collect the completed answer sheets
IMPORTANT You MUST print the test version on your exam so the students can fill in the correct Test Version bubble on their answer sheets. This is the field Remark will use when grading the exams to match each student sheet with the correct answer key version.
The answer sheet fields captured by Remark are:
- Last Name
- First Initial (FI)
- Middle Initial (MI)
- University ID
- Subject & Course Number
- Section #
- Test Version
- Answers 1 - 75
