Your academic success is our success.

Graduate Student Services is here to support you as you progress through your chosen graduate program, with the knowledge, resources and flexibility to connect via e-mail, telephone or face-to-face to help you register for courses and navigate your career path.

Academic Planning

LeBow’s graduate academic advisors are always available to assist you in choosing the courses necessary to complete your degree program.

You will work closely with your advisors to select concentration and elective courses at designated points during your plan of study. MBA students are not required to declare a concentration upon enrollment.

Visit the Provost’s website for complete academic policies, including information on adding, dropping or withdrawing from courses.

Academic Standing

All Drexel LeBow graduate students are required to adhere to the GPA requirement. Students may also need to maintain a full-time or part-time status, depending on your program or financial aid package.

GPA Requirement

Graduate students must maintain a minimum 3.0 (“B” average) cumulative grade point average (GPA) to maintain good academic standing. Failure to maintain this GPA requirement will result in academic probation. Courses where a grade of “C-” or below is awarded must be repeated to satisfy graduation requirements.

Full-Time Status

Drexel LeBow students who are enrolled in full-time programs are required to be registered for a minimum of 9 credit hours per term.

Part-Time Status

In general, part-time students can take a minimum of 3 credit hours per term. Most part-time students take 6 credit hours per term.

Students who receive financial aid should be mindful of loan requirements, which may require a minimum of 4.5 credit hour enrollment each term.

Academic Probation

Graduate students must maintain a minimum 3.0 (“B” average) cumulative grade point average (GPA) to maintain good academic standing. Failure to maintain this GPA requirement will result in the student being placed on academic probation, after which they will have two consecutive terms to achieve the required 3.0 cumulative GPA while also maintaining a 3.0 term GPA.

A student who fails to meet this standard may be academically dismissed from the University.

Each student’s academic advisor is available to assist them throughout their graduate studies. If students are having difficulty with one or more courses, we recommend that they first contact their professor. An advisor may also be able to help identify other options.

Readmission

If you do not register for any courses for four consecutive terms, your record becomes inactive. To request readmission, you must have been in good academic standing, with a minimum 3.0 GPA, prior to becoming inactive.

All students who wish to apply for readmission are required to apply via the Office of Admissions. The Admissions Committee is responsible for reviewing all applications for readmission to Drexel, following program guidelines.

The mission of Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business is to develop exceptional business leaders. Our Commitment to Excellence defines the standards that ensure academic integrity, ethical conduct and the foundation of successful leadership.

Successful completion of our graduate programs require your commitment to the learning experience with respect to communication, relationships and teamwork. Standing in the LeBow community will be subject to adherence to the basic principles and conduct below:

Academic Honesty

Drexel University is committed to academic honesty and protecting members of its community from the results of dishonest conduct. Any action that undermines the pursuit of knowledge is unacceptable. All stakeholders in the educational process should observe professional standards regarding issues of courtesy, honesty, plagiarism, confidentiality, scholarship, punctuality and participation in classes.

The University has outlined four categories of academic dishonesty: academic misconduct, cheating, fabrication and plagiarism. LeBow students are expected to be honest in all written and oral statements. Should it be determined that a violation has occurred, the faculty member will follow the University’s academic dishonesty policy and procedures.

LeBow College of Business recognizes that its graduate students are at various stages of career growth. Services that assist in career management to optimize the graduate experience are available and the responsibility of the student to utilize.
