Flyers Charities at Philadelphia Flyers
Denise is currently the Vice President of Flyers Charities, the non-profit arm of the National Hockey League’s Philadelphia Flyers, where she is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, fundraising, development and marketing efforts for the charity. Building valuable partnerships that increase the organization’s revenue, visibility and most importantly, impact throughout the community is at the core of her role in the Philadelphia Flyers organization.
Denise has more than 17 years of professional experience in the corporate, non-profit, sports and entertainment industries, including time spent at the Philadelphia 76ers, the Franklin Institute and Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania. A 2001 graduate of Penn State with a degree in Communications and Media Studies, Denise continued her education through certificate programs at Temple University and the Association of Fundraising Professionals, focusing on both executive event leadership and fundraising principals, respectively. Denise is also a stylist for Stella & Dot, a lifestyle and accessories company created to help women be their own boss, on their own terms.
Volunteering for mission-based organizations is where Denise feels she can make the most positive impact in the community. She is a board member for Music4More, a non-profit that collects instrument donations and recycles them into struggling school programs and music therapy programs for veterans. She also serves as a Board Member for Today Is a Good Day, a foundation that supports families navigating the NICU journey. Denise is on the Advisory Board of The Satell Institute in Philadelphia, PA and is the External Relations lead for the Comcast Spectacor Women’s Network.
