Ebiho Teresa Ahonkhai, Esq., a native of Nigeria, received her JD from Temple University Beasley School of Law and earned her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service in Washington, D.C. where she pursued her long standing personal interest in human rights, international law and her commitment to identifying impactful solutions to racial, social and economic challenges in the U.S. and in developing countries.
In 2018, Ahonkhai was inducted into the Georgetown University Athletics Hall of Fame. As a scholarship athlete and captain of Georgetown’s Women’s Basketball Team, Ahonkhai competed as a starter and garnered numerous All-BIG EAST Conference and All-Team academic, scoring and rebounding records and honors.
Before embarking upon her law school career, Ahonkhai continued to demonstrate her athletic prowess as a professional basketball player in Helsinki, Finland where she traveled and competed in the European Basketball League.
Ahonkhai continues her commitment to women in sport by coaching and providing individual instruction to women’s basketball players at high schools and universities in the Philadelphia area, representing female college coaches and professional athletes in contract negotiations and appearing as a guest speaker at basketball camps and high school and college athletic end-of-year ceremonies.
