Jerome brings a distinguished thirty-year career in the U.S. Air Force, culminating as a Chief Master Sergeant, into his current role. His broad experience in Defense, Financial Management, H.R. and government agency work has been instrumental in driving startup ventures and growth initiatives, showcasing his strategic expertise in enhancing organizational performance. In academia, Jerome is committed to shaping future leaders. He serves as Deputy Director of the Louisiana Tech Research Institute (LTRi), Program Manager for the National Security Fellows Program and Senior Teaching Fellow, where he creates a vital link between Louisiana Tech University and the Department of Defense. His leadership of a professional development program focuses on strategic leadership, innovation, culture management and Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), significantly contributing to the Air Force Global Strike Command’s intellectual and research pursuits.
Jerome’s educational journey is as varied as it is impressive. He holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, a Master’s in Management and Leadership, an MBA focusing on strategy and organizations and a Doctorate in Business Administration specializing in innovation, complemented by executive leadership training from Cornell University’s SC Johnson School of Management. In the research realm, he explores Innovation, Organizational Culture, Management Involvement and Psychological Safety, aiming to create environments that promote innovative thinking, high-performance cultures and effective management teams. His approach in both his military and academic careers exemplifies transformative, informed and ethical leadership, blending extensive operational experience with cutting-edge academic research.
