As President & CEO/Chief Commercial Officer at NJII/NJIT University from 2018 to 2022, Simon led commercial efforts, driving innovation and entrepreneurship. Notably, he orchestrated the groundbreaking $73 million sale of startup BioCentriq. Previously, as Chairman, President, and CEO of Wayside Technology Group (NASDAQ “WSTG”) from 2006 to 2018, Simon’s leadership propelled the company’s revenue from $180 million to $450 million.
Simon’s industry and community impact includes having chaired the New Jersey Technology Council and as a member of the Presidential Leadership Council at Stevens Institute of Technology. His innovative mindset earned him awards like Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2011 New Jersey Award in the Technology Services category and recognition as a Future 50 Award Winner. As a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and an honorary member of the National Academy of Inventors, Simon combines strategic knowledge with hands-on experience. A visionary leader, Simon continues to inspire and mentor leaders and drive success as a CEO mentor and management coach.
