Application Requirements

The Drexel LeBow College of Business runs on a quarter-based academic calendar, terms last 10 weeks instead of the 15 in a semester system. Classes are accelerated to a real-world pace of learning and achieving. All applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Degrees earned abroad will be evaluated and must be deemed equivalent.

International Student Application Deadline: June 1 (Fall Term 2025. Classes begin Monday, Sept. 22, 2025.) If you are not able to obtain a visa for your initial admission term you can defer enrollment up to 1 year.

1. Complete Your Application

First, complete your online application and submit your supplemental documents through the Application Portal. An application fee of $65 U.S. is required. 

2. Upload Your Transcripts

Unofficial transcripts, including mark-sheets and degree certificates, from all colleges/universities attended are required. Your unofficial transcripts can be uploaded to the Admissions Portal.

You may be required to provide a transcript evaluation should the Admissions Committee determine it is needed. Once accepted to LeBow, students must submit official transcripts, including mark-sheets and degree certificates, prior to the start of term. If your school issues only one transcript for life, you may send a notarized photocopy, bearing the seal on each page.

3. Provide a Letter of Recommendation

One letter of recommendation is required from either a professional or academic reference. You will be asked to enter your reference’s contact information into the application system, which will generate a formal request that is sent to your recommender.

Note: Please let your recommender know they will be receiving the request through an auto-generated email. If your recommender has already written the recommendation, they must formally submit it via email to the enrollment team on your behalf.

4. Upload Your Professional CV/Résumé

You will be asked to upload your CV/résumé as part of your application or through the  Applicant Portal.

5. Submit a Personal Essay

You are required to submit a personal statement/essay that addresses the following areas:

  1. Future career goals
  2. How this graduate degree will allow you to grow professionally
  3. Why you are choosing Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business
  4. Anything additional about your personal or professional experiences that will support your growth in leadership, community and personal development

Suggested personal statement/essay length is one page, single spaced to two pages, double spaced (300 to 500 words)

Additional Information for International Applicants
  • Visa: Students need to obtain an F1 student visa or a J1 student exchange visa for all on-campus programs. International graduate students who plan on studying in the United States must be enrolled in a program with on-campus instruction to be eligible for a visa. Note: If you are not able to obtain a visa for your initial admission term you can defer enrollment up to 1 year.
  • English Proficiency Requirements: If you completed your undergraduate degree outside of the United States, you are required to provide proof of your English proficiency as part of your application. We offer a variety of options for candidates to meet this requirement, including Duolingo, TOEFL and IELTS Examinations, and IELTS.
  • If you earned a bachelor’s degree from a recognized English-speaking country or have worked full time in the U.S. for five or more years, consult with your admissions advisor to see if your English proficiency requirement may be waived.
  • I-20/DS-2019: International applicants must submit I-20/DS-2019 documents after admission and confirmation to the program.
  • GMAT/GRE Test Optional: GMAT or GRE test scores are not required for LeBow College of Business graduate admissions. However, applicants who have completed or will be completing the GMAT or GRE are encouraged to submit their test scores to be considered for additional merit scholarship opportunities. Sharing of test scores is also recommended for those who may have minimal quantitative or analytical experience, to help showcase quantitative aptitude.
