Drexel LeBow Team to Compete at CFAP Competition Finals
A team of LeBow College of Business students has advanced to the final round of competition in the CFA Society of Philadelphia’s (CFAP) Investment Research Challenge. The multi-level team, comprised of undergraduate students Amar Brahbmatt, Mike Olaya, and Nikhil Shah; MBA student Steve Frattone; and MS Finance student Josh Stachura, collaborated to create an investment analysis of Urban Outfitters for the competition, edging out several top local schools including the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
The Drexel LeBow team will compete against three other local b-schools for bragging rights at the Union League of Philadelphia on February 24, giving a 10-minute presentation and fielding 10 minutes of questioning from a panel of judges from the local investment industry.
Ed Nelling, professor of finance, and Mike Martorelli of Fairmount Partners, an adjunct instructor in the finance department and a Drexel LeBow alumnus, are advising the team.
Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend the event and support Drexel LeBow. CFAP requests that anyone who wants to attend register for this event through the CFAP website.
