Drexel LeBow Undergraduate Recognized at International Economics Conference
Drexel LeBow undergraduate student Shounak Sengupta, a senior concentrating in economics and finance, won an award at the International Economics Conference at Ege University in Izmir, Turkey, for his academic paper titled “Agricultural Policy and Equity Financing in Developing Nations." His paper and presentation won the award for “Exceptional Innovation in Research.” He was the only undergraduate student to win an award at the conference.
Sengupta says he applied to the conference because he was looking to expand the scope of his research. “I also wanted to get some perspective from researchers belonging to developing nations,” he says.
Sengupta will graduate next month and will begin working as a consultant for Deloitte in August.
