Drexel LeBow Wins Grand Prize in ACG Philadelphia Cup
A team of four LeBow College of Business graduate students has brought home top honors in the Philadelphia ACG Cup for the second year in a row. MBA student Jason Zola and M.S./Finance students Jie Wang, Ben Wuebbenhorst, Mengsu Liao and Yan Zhou will share the $12,500 grand prize.
This year, LeBow’s team bested competitors from Temple University and The Wharton School — who finished in second and third place, respectively. In all, the ACG Cup competition awarded $28,000 in prizes.
“This win is exciting for Drexel LeBow graduate programs staff and students,” said Program Manager Liz Pelberg-Schariter. “The ACG Philadelphia Cup is a great showcase for the talents and scholastic excellence of our MBA and M.S. in Finance students. It is also a great way to prove that Drexel LeBow is a continued winner. We are immensely proud of our 2012 Drexel LeBow team.”
The annual competition was designed by the Association for Corporate Growth to give students from leading MBA and MS programs across the country real-world experience and insight into mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, financial advisory and private equity.
