Drexel University's LeBow College of Business Opens New Facility in Great Valley, PA

October 17, 2006

MALVERN, PA - Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business will celebrate the grand opening of its satellite campus at 2 West Liberty Boulevard in Malvern, PA on Wednesday, October 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

LeBow College’s Great Valley campus will have free, wireless Internet access and can accommodate more than 90 students. It has three classrooms complete with the latest technology and services to enhance the learning experience of the students. Two of the classrooms are outfitted with PCs, a DVD player, VCR, and a document camera, all of which will be connected to an overhead projector. The third, centrally-located, larger classroom can be divided into two smaller rooms, with outlets available for laptop computers. The satellite campus also features 18-seat and a 12-seat conference rooms, a lounge, two offices, and a reception area.

“We have been providing MBA courses in the Great Valley area for more than 10 years, thanks to our corporate partners,” said Dr. George P. Tsetsekos, dean of Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. “Now we have the capacity to host guest lectures, provide students amenities such as wireless access and onsite advising, and deliver an unparalleled program in this dynamic, growing area of the Greater Philadelphia region.”

LeBow’s Great Valley campus provides the same high-quality learning environment for which the Drexel’s University City campus program is renowned. The facility will feature two LeBow College programs, the Drexel LEAD (LeBow Evening Accelerated Drexel) MBA and executive education, delivered by LeBow’s Krall Center for Corporate and Executive Education.

The Drexel LEAD MBA program optimizes leadership potential in a 24-month, part-time, cohorted format. The program integrates leadership and ethics, and technology management and industry perspectives, which are the hallmarks of a distinctive Drexel MBA education. LeBow College began offering MBA education in the Great Valley area in 1995 for motivated, yet busy, professionals in the Great Valley area, who seek to earn an MBA from a highly regarded, Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredited university without having to travel the distance to Drexel’s University City campus.

Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business Corporate and Executive Education offerings empower professionals and organizations with a distinct competitive advantage through innovative executive education programs that integrate the latest trends and industry models. LeBow’s programs are designed to bridge the gap between business and academia for individuals and corporations with non-degree educational solutions. Courses will be offered in February 2007.
