Drexel University's LeBow College of Business congratulates the following professors for their recent achievements:
Erik Benrud, Ph.D., clinical professor of finance, chaired a panel titled "Asset Allocation in a World on Different Recovery Paths," at the Asset Allocation Forum in Alternatives 2009 held at the Harvard Club in New York City on Oct. 5, 2009.
Jacqueline Garner, Ph.D., associate professor of finance, was appointed associate editor of Financial Review. Garner and Won Yong Kim, a Ph.D. student of finance, presented the paper "Are Foreign Investors Really Beneficial? Evidence from South Korea," at two conferences: Journal of Corporate Finance "Conference on Corporate Governance and Emerging Markets" (Beijing, China), August, 2009; and the fourth annual "Conference on Asia-Pacific Financial Markets" in (Seoul, South Korea), December 2009.
Ben Lev, Ph.D., professor and head of the Decision Sciences Department, was the program committee chair of the third annual conference of the International Society of Management Science and Engineering Management. The conference was held from November 2 to 4 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Bruce D. McCullough, Ph.D., professor of decision sciences, authored "Testing Econometric Software," chapter 28 in Handbook of Econometrics, Volume 2, Mills and Patterson, eds., New York: Palgrave, pp. 1293-1320. McCullough also authored "The Accuracy of Econometric Software," chapter two in the Handbook of Computational Econometrics, Belsley and Kontoghiorghes, eds., New York: Wiley, pp. 55-80.
