BY AL RIESS

December 02, 2020

It’s been a long time coming, but Zoom has finally updated their system to provide co-hosts with the same Breakout Room controls as meeting hosts. On Tuesday, December 8, Zoom released version 5.4.6 of it’s desktop application which allows meeting co-hosts to assign participants to, start and stop, and message with breakout rooms during live Zoom meetings. To take advantage of this new feature, make sure you update to the latest version of Zoom.

Instructions for updating Zoom can be found at http://lebow.me/UpdateZoom.

NOTE: Mobile versions of the Zoom application (iOS or Android) may be released a few days after the desktop version due to App Store restrictions, so make sure to check for updates regular on mobile devices.
