Introducing Drexel LeBow’s Future-Ready MBA
As recent college graduates and working professionals grapple with whether an MBA is a worthwhile investment for their career trajectory, it’s important to search for a program that accounts for the rapidly evolving global market and prepares students for immediate and future success.
Not all MBAs are created equal, and to ensure students are making a smart investment, they need to be on the lookout for a few key features that exemplify a high-impact MBA program: a market-driven curriculum, hands-on learning, customizable options that incorporate data and emerging technologies, and personalized career support.
Drexel’s Evolving, Market-Driven MBA Curriculum
“I know that the world is going to change, and therefore, the University must change with it.” – Anthony J. Drexel
In keeping with Drexel University founder Anthony J. Drexel’s vision, the LeBow College of Business continually reviews its programs and curricula to ensure they adapt to and meet evolving industry needs.
Effective fall 2025, changes to Drexel LeBow’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program will reimagine the degree so it prepares students to thrive and innovate in today’s dynamic business environment, as well as in the future workforce. Shaped by guidance from students, faculty, alumni and industry leaders, the newly updated curriculum features enhanced experiential, collaborative and active learning aimed at strengthening students’ critical thinking and interpersonal power skills.
Real-World Experience Through Hands-On Learning
The revised MBA curriculum at LeBow offers more opportunities to develop skills in leadership, data-driven decision-making and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), in a fully integrated and streamlined 48-credit program.
“Our MBA students will apply what they learn immediately in their work, gain real-world experience through customizable, hands-on learning opportunities and have access to personalized career support, professional development courses and a strong professional network,” says Murugan Anandarajan, PhD, vice dean.
Students will graduate future-ready to lead innovative industry solutions at the intersection of people, data and technology.
Experiential learning has always been at the center of Anthony J. Drexel’s adaptable, future-focused University, and the new LeBow MBA stays true to this mission, offering students a variety of hands-on electives to choose from, such as the possibility of a graduate internship, a business consulting course, a capstone project and courses in digital marketing, business agility and IT, negotiations for leaders and more.
Specialized Concentrations, Including a New Applied AI in Business Concentration
A new, STEM-designated MBA concentration in applied AI in business will be offered at LeBow starting this fall. This concentration equips students with the expertise to integrate AI into business functions, optimize processes and navigate AI deployment’s ethical and regulatory challenges. Courses in this concentration feature real-world case studies, strategic modeling, decision intelligence simulations and hands-on AI applications.
“By combining foundational AI literacy with practical application, this concentration prepares our MBA graduates to lead a future workforce driven by AI,” says Stacy Kline, assistant dean for teaching and learning and clinical professor of accounting.
