LeBow BRIDGE Named Inspiring Program in Business for Third Consecutive Year
For a third straight year, the LeBow BRIDGE program has been recognized by Insight Into Diversity magazine, the leader in advancing best practices in inclusive excellence and belonging.
BRIDGE received the 2025 Inspiring Programs in Business Award, which honors programs that provide comprehensive support to first-generation college attendees, students from low-income backgrounds, and those that have a demonstrated interest in building relationships in distinct group experiences.
“Since its inception, LeBow BRIDGE has been an exemplar academic enrichment program designed for undergraduate students,” says Brian Ellis, PhD, associate dean for academic programs administration at LeBow. “Founded on four pillars of excellence—academic success, social engagement, community service and financial literacy—LeBow BRIDGE epitomizes University founder Anthony J. Drexel’s ethos of ‘education for all’.”
Winners are selected by Insight Into Diversity for their efforts to inspire and encourage a new generation of young people to consider careers in business through mentoring, teaching, research, and successful programs and initiatives. LeBow BRIDGE will be featured, along with 20 other recipients, in the April 2025 issue of Insight Into Diversity magazine.
“I am so proud of the positive impact LeBow’s BRIDGE program has on students,” says Leslie Ashburn-Nardo, PhD, Drexel’s vice provost of faculty advancement and inclusion. “Through its four pillars, BRIDGE empowers students to overcome whatever challenges they may face, now or in the future, and it provides opportunities for deep and meaningful connections to others that are so critical for success.”
Insight Into Diversity magazine selected BRIDGE because of its efforts to ensure student success. Since its establishment in 2012, the program has positively impacted the college experience of more than 300 students. Retention and graduation rates continue to exceed national and University standards, while student engagement levels and academic standing for BRIDGE scholars highlight some of the program’s successes.
“We are thrilled to recognize those that prioritize inclusive excellence and belonging and create pathways for students who seek careers in a wide range of business sectors,” says Lenore Pearlstein, owner and publisher of Insight Into Diversity magazine. “We are proud to honor these programs as role models for other institutions of higher education and beyond.”
