LeBow Junior Wins $2,500 Philly Ad Club Award
LeBow College student Tyler Rohrbaugh, a junior participating in the College's BS/MBA program, has been awarded a $2,500 Philly Ad Club award. Rohrbaugh, a marketing and legal studies major, was chosen for this award after being nominated by LeBow's Hyokjin Kwak, Ph.D., associate professor of marketing.
Philly Ad Club gives this award in acknowledgement of academic success in marketing to individuals with a passion and a clear career plan relating to marketing and/or communications, specifically within the Philadelphia area.
Rohrbaugh is using the award to support himself while doing an unpaid co-op at Game Seven MKTG, an entertainment and sports marketing company in New York City. “I chose this job over other paid offers I received because I felt it would be the best way for me to reach my goals,” Rohrbaugh says, noting that he is commuting there from Philadelphia.
“This award means the world to me because it gives me the ability to represent the incredibly talented student body within the LeBow marketing community,” he says. “Also, it eliminates the worries I had in taking a co-op position of this nature and confirms that with risk there can be great reward.”
Philly Ad Club is a community of influential advertising, marketing and media professionals working together to improve and promote the advertising/communications industry. It will hold a dinner to honor Rohrbaugh and other top nominees in the fall.
