LeBow Undergraduate Services, Programs and Career Services teamed up for a day of service on Thursday, March 19, to make soup for home-bound seniors in West Philadelphia. The team was able to utilize the beautiful kitchen at the Dornsife Center for Neighborhood Partnerships located at 35th and Spring Garden streets.

LeBow Soup Squad

Working with the West Philly Soup Squad, LeBow staffers made kale and chickpea stew that will be a part of a week’s worth of meals delivered by the Cook for a Friend Home Delivered Meal Program at the Klein JCC. Money was raised to purchase ingredients for the soup through “dress-down” Fridays leading up to the day of service. The team sliced, diced and stirred enough stew for 90 individually packaged servings of soup for community members in need.
