Students to Compete in Fall 2011 Case Competitions
Case competitions offer students the opportunity to gain real-world skills, network with top executives and even win valuable prizes. LeBow College is hosting two exciting case competitions this fall – the IBM case competition and the Johnson & Johnson finance case competition – and is partnering with Northwestern Mutual on a third.
The Northwestern Mutual case competition will be a sales simulation open to business students in the Greater Philadelphia area, where teams will compete to best “sell” their respective universities. Students can register for this competition now through the end of October. The kickoff will take place Nov. 4 and the competition is set for Nov. 18.
LeBow’s fourth annual IBM case competition will be held on Oct. 21. This competition provides students with the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to network with key decision makers from one of the largest technology and consulting companies in the world. Teams of LeBow students will compete against each other in a sales simulation geared toward accounting and finance.
The Johnson & Johnson case competition also offers students the chance to network with executives of one of the world’s largest healthcare companies and is geared specifically toward students who have an interest in gaining employment with the company. This competition, which focuses on finance, kicked off on Sept. 30. Project development is under way, and students will give presentations before judges on Nov. 11 to determine the winners.
