Biography
Martin R. Thomas is Associate Clinical Professor of Finance in the LeBow College of Business. He received his Ph.D. in Finance from the Pennsylvania State University and is a CFA Charterholder. Marty had a 27-year career in the financial services industry, where his work focused on applications of Data Sciences. Prior to joining Drexel’s faculty, he was Senior Vice President of RPM Direct, an analytics and targeting firm. Previously, he was Vice President of Decision Support for Advanta Corporation.
Marty has taught many courses at Drexel University including Investment Management, Derivatives, Valuation, and Forecasting. He has been awarded the LeBow College Excellence in Teaching Award and twice awarded the Dean’s Prize for Outstanding Teaching. He is the author of the book, “Hedging Instruments and Risk Management,” published by McGraw-Hill. From 2015-2023, Marty served on the board of directors of Customer Communications Group, a Denver-based corporation.
