Requesting a WRDS Account

Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) is the award-winning research platform and business intelligence tool for over 40,000+ corporate, academic, government and nonprofit clients at over 400+ institutions in 30+ countries. WRDS provides users with one location to access over 250 terabytes of data across multiple disciplines including Accounting, Banking, Economics, Finance, ESG, and Statistics.

NOTE: When completing the form, you MUST set your WRDS username to match your Drexel username (abc123). Any request with a non-Drexel WRDS username will be REJECTED.

  1. Browse to http://wrds-web.wharton.upenn.edu.
  2. Select Register for a WRDS Account.
  3. Complete the registration form using your official Drexel username (abc123) in the Desired Username field.
  4. Select Register.

Once your registration is complete, an email will be sent to LeBow Tech for approval. You will be notified via email once the account request is approved.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

WRDS has implemented new account management policies restricting email addresses to 1 WRDS account request. If you do not set your WRDS username to match your Drexel username, the account will be rejected and WRDS support will need to be contacted to remove your Drexel email from the system. This will delay gaining access to WRDS.
