Business and Engineering Learning Community

The Business and Engineering Learning Community (BELC) is an academic learning community designed for students who want to make a difference in the world. It is a cohort of first-year Business and Engineering majors who take many of their classes together and participate in academic-focused activities. Designed for ambitious and high achieving students, this community will help ease the transition to university life, enhance student academic performance, provide opportunities for student engagement and networking and improve the overall student experience.

Engagement with our business and engineering faculty will round out the experience and create a community of learners well prepared to live and work in an evolving or changing society.

Advantages of Joining BELC

  • Close interaction with and advising by business and engineering faculty
  • Academic and professional seminars and workshops
  • Peer-led academic support
  • Leadership opportunities in conjunction with National Organization for Business and Engineering (NOBE)
  • Community engagement
