Drexel LeBow MBA Students Finalists in Sony Competition

February 02, 2011

LeBow College of Business MBA students Moira Garrity and Maria Potalivo have been named as finalists for the 2011 Sony Marketing Strategy Case Competition, which will be held in San Diego, Calif., at the Sony Electronics Inc. corporate headquarters February 18-20, 2011.

The competition features a compelling marketing strategy case. Teams comprised of five MBA students from different schools will engage in fierce competition for $12,000 in prize money and national bragging rights. Top Sony executives will serve as judges in the competition.

Garrity says that this particular case was perfectly in line with her interests and future career goals.  “I feel lucky to have been chosen to compete with other MBA students from across the country,” she says. “This competition offers rare networking opportunities with top executives at Sony and the privilege of working with one of their currently unreleased consumer electronics products.”
