BY STEVEN FISHER

September 12, 2023

Jeremy J. Ray earned his Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) in the spring of 2023 from Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. During his doctoral journey, he aimed to spotlight the ever-evolving landscape of knowledge transfer in our digital age. With an eye on the growing dominance of virtual workforces and the transformation of communication modalities, Ray’s dissertation research scrutinizes the effectiveness of training and information dissemination through computer-mediated communications. His work not only evaluates the current state of knowledge transfer in virtual settings but also endeavors to chart a path toward enhancing this crucial facet of modern work environments.

My motivation for pursuing the topic was based on my own frustrating experience with limitations of current tools, and how they facilitated knowledge transfer.
Jeremy J. Ray, DBA '23

His study seeks to answer pressing questions about how organizations can optimize their training processes and information relay systems to adapt successfully to the changing landscape of the workplace.
