New Faculty Members Join LeBow This Fall

The LeBow College of Business is pleased to welcome the following new faculty members at the start of the 2024-25 academic year.

Department of Accounting

Thomas Baselice, CPA Assistant Clinical Professor

Tom joins LeBow following 12 years as a Professor of Accounting at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida. His professional experience includes roles as a systems analyst and as a financial analyst at PeopleSoft, Oracle, Intertek Caleb Brett and Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. Tom is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida, received his Master of Taxation degree from Florida Atlantic University and holds a BS in Business Administration from Duquesne University. Tom was born and raised in South Jersey, and his interests include investing, financial planning and financial statement analysis.

Department of Decision Sciences and MIS

Simon Spavound, PhD
Assistant Clinical Professor, Decision Sciences

Simon Spavound joins LeBow having previously been the head of Data Science for Peak, an AI company based in the United Kingdom. His five years of work there focused primarily on solving business problems using forecasting, optimization and AI techniques. He is particularly interested in how businesses can get more value from their use of such technologies and how we can all better use and work with them. Previously he was an assistant professor in the U.K., having received a PhD in Economics from Lancaster University.
