Economics MBA Degree Concentration

The STEM-designated MBA degree with a concentration in Economics equips students with a fundamental understanding of economic ideas and concepts as well as the analytic tools to make data-driven decisions. Building insights from economics into the core MBA curriculum equips students with an understanding of how businesses are affected by changes in the economic environment, the ability to guide businesses through macroeconomic events and provide strategic, data-informed leadership during times of market disruption.

Students who choose the economics concentration for their MBA program are especially well-positioned for careers focused on finance, consulting, investing and roles that emphasize market/managerial analysis.

The MBA concentration in Economics is offered in person. Drexel LeBow also offers a Master’s of Science in Economics, a Master’s of Science in Economics and Computer Science and a PhD in Economics.

The MBA concentration in Economics is a STEM-designated degree program. Students with an F-1 visa can apply for a 24-month OPT extension (beyond the standard 12 months) if they meet noted criteria.
