P1Software is challenged in providing its clients with solutions to help them understand both their team’s and their competitors’ strengths and weaknesses through real-time and historical timing and scoring data. Team strategists and engineers require information that is timely, understandable, and accessible in order to make decisions. Insights must be easy to draw, even when working under hot, noisy, adverse, and stressful conditions.
Analytics Solution
P1Software developed DataViz and DataScience software products and services to help its clients. A real-time strategy dashboard helps teams understand the race as it unfolds. Post-session interactive analysis reports are automatically generated and sent directly to the team’s mobile devices for debriefs and study. The interactive charts in each product supplement numeric tables, allowing strategists to quickly identify trends and strategies. Descriptive and predictive analytics are further tailored to each team, reducing cognitive effort when comparing competitors’ performance.

Since the P1Software data products and services became commercially available in 2014, race teams have enjoyed victories and a better understanding of the race story. In 2018, P1Software’s clients captured 4 of the 6 IMSA WeatherTech and Continental Tire championships. With the company’s software, they have won the two prestigious U.S. endurance races, the 2017 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona and the 2018 12 Hours of Sebring.
