Members Convene for Fourth Annual LeBow Advisory Board and Councils Day
Members of Drexel LeBow’s fifteen advisory boards and councils gathered recently for the fourth annual LeBow Advisory Board and Councils Day. The event offers members the opportunity to hear about the future direction of the College and the University and to network with other business leaders.
Drexel University President John Fry thanked the members for “serving as part of LeBow’s brain trust and for helping us push forward and embrace and drive change.” He commented on the launch of the Drexel Business Solutions Institute, housed at LeBow, which will work in partnership with the Steinbright Career Development Center to draw upon faculty and students from across the University to provide organizations with talent pipelines and development solutions and with interdisciplinary research-based solutions to business and societal challenges. “The Institute has the potential to be a game-changer for the University,” he observed, “because it puts forward the best resources we have into solving our partners’ complicated business and civic problems.”
Executive Vice President and Nina Henderson Provost M. Brian Blake, PhD, Senior Vice President, Enrollment Management and Student Success Randy Deike, PhD, and LeBow Dean Paul E. Jensen, PhD also shared remarks.
Following the group meeting, Dean Jensen hosted a meeting of the Dean’s Advisory Board where he recognized outgoing Chair David R. Geltzer ’77 for his five years of service and announced the appointment of a new slate of officers: Al Altomari ’82, chairman of the board and CEO, Agile Therapeutics, Inc. as chair and Beth Bunting Arnholt MBA ’02, vice president, executive search, Comcast Corporation, and Mark McAdoo ’87, founder and CEO, SourcEdge Solutions, as vice chairs. Allan Frank, partner and chief scientist of LiquidHub, was appointed as a new member.
